The Java language derives much of its syntax from C and C++ but has a simpler object model and fewer low-level facilities. Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode (class file) that can run on any Java Virtual Machine (JVM) regardless of computer architecture. We offer two 5 day Java courses: A Fundamentals of Computer Progamming using Java course and an Introduction to Programming in Java Course.
Description
The Fundamentals of Computer Programming with Java is aimed at people with little or no programming background. This course covers: Basic concepts, Simple programs, data types, constants and variables, screen i/o, expressions, control structures, functions, arrays, classes, files.
The Introduction to Programming with Java Course covers: Getting Started with J2SE, Language Fundamentals, Objects and Classes, Using Java Objects, Inheritance in Java, Advanced Inheritance and Language Constructs, Packages, Exception Handling, Input/Output Streams, Core Collection Classes, Collection Sorting and Tuning, Inner Classes, Introduction to Swing, Swing Events and Layout Managers, Introduction to JDBC, JDBC and SQL Programming, Introduction to Threads, Java Performance Tuning, Networking with Sockets, Regular Expressions, J2EE Overview.
